The cafe in the city that we initally wanted to have breakfast at was closed, so we made a detour and ended up at Etro Bristro on King Street. It is the first time we have breakfast at Etro Bristro. First look at the menu gives us an impression that it is french inspired, with croissants, petit breakfast, and crepes on the list.
I was however excited about the XXS Brekkie on the menu which I thought was an excellent idea! It is essentially a small version of the Big Breakfast. The XXS Brekkie consists of an egg (cooked to your preference), a piece of toast, one chipolata, half a tomato, a piece of bacon. Just the perfect portion size for me.
J had the Egg Florentine- poached eggs on blanched spinach and toast smothered in hollandaise sauce.
We found that there was nothing out of the ordinary about the breakfast at Etro Bistro. At the same time, there is nothing to complain about. The breakfast was cooked well and beautifully presented. Coffee was okay. Most of the cafes are closed in Perth City during the weekend anyway, so it's not like we have many options here.
